Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is one of the largest pediatric healthcare organizations in the United States. The non-profit includes three hospitals and 27 neighborhood locations, with access to more than 2,600 pediatric physicians and practitioners. It employs more than 11,500 staff and treats over 430,000 patients each year, from every county in Georgia, and it performs more than 43,000 surgical procedures. For more information, please click here.
|
Children’s Healthcare found that healthcare organizations lacked easily accessible information for parents to take care of their infants. There was usually more instruction on maintaining a new car or a washing machine than looking after a newborn baby. The challenge was to create an educational platform that would help parents to give their infants the best start in life by increasing awareness of vital health and safety issues.

Cheri researched, developed, named, wrote, and edited Baby Steps, an educational program for new parents. It consists of a 44-page educational booklet, supported by online and broadcast media. Cheri worked with physicians to develop the content, and with graphic designer, Matt Stepp, to create the overall look and theme of the project. The program was so successful that it went on to win an IABC Silver Flame Award.

Mary Palmer Dargan wanted to build on her professional experience and her years as a former professor of Landscape Architecture and Planning at Clemson University to launch new courses that would give budding garden designers a solid foundation. She searched Metro Atlanta for a talented academic writer to develop and write all the course materials and selected the Magic Sparkle Writing Service.
|
Trevor conceptualized, wrote, edited, and formatted the course materials for the American Certificate of Landscape Design, including e-books that consist of fact sheets to accompany lecture videos, course summaries, fun quizzes, and homework sheets. The materials were so well received, by both the client and students alike, that the Dargans commissioned more than 20 course units.
